How to make yo-yo string

By August 17, 2016Vlogs

In this video Mike goes through the process of how to make yo-yo string. With a little trial and error and a lot of making it up as you go, he eventually ended up with a passable product. The string is light blue polyester, it’s durable, slightly rough, whips well, does great with fast lacerations, and holds its tension well for slack trick. While not entirely an instructional video this video will give you an understanding of how string making works and shows an extremely low-budget way of making string if you have any interest in trying it out for yourself. If you are interested in purchasing any string from Mike you can let him know by sending him a message.

Nice rearrangement of all the tutorials and also the categories by difficulty . However there doesn’t appear to be a simple way to get back to the forums or log out from the site. I just found out I can sign off here, but I had to look for it. Was at one of the biggest kite festivals this side of the Mississippi for over a week, but back now. Not much chance to throw – too much kiting. Back at it again!

Thank you, Wayne! When I have a few spare minutes I will make it easier to get to the forums. Like you have seen and mentioned, I’ve been focusing most of my time on making the tutorials easier to go through. Kite festival sounds like a fun event to go to, glad to have you back throwing! 😉

PS:” have you come up with a satisfactory string? Saw you kept adding threads to your attempts and wondered if you are finally happy with your efforts.
